Conceptual product design

A reinterpretation of four essential objects used in matcha preparation: a chashaku (tea scoop), a scoop rest, a whisk holder and a decorative element for the chasen, inspired by the historical practice of decorating the matcha whisk.

The design draws on the clear, reduced forms of traditional tea utensils and translates them into a contemporary language shaped by material and production.

Stainless steel was deliberately chosen for its durability and longevity — a counterpoint to the historical practice of using a new scoop for each ceremony.
